BRIGHT SUN BRINGS TEMPERATURES ABOVE 60 FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE
DECEMBER

Temperatures have climbed well into the 50’s as bright sunshine
continues with no clouds to be seen through the 10 AM observation.

Temperatures have climbed above 60 for the first time since December
25th.  Temperatures at the 1 PM Observation were measured at 65
degrees and are expected to climb higher.

Both ponds at this morning’s 7:00 AM EST observation were visible
with Houghton’s and Ponkapoag ponds completely thawed, which makes
April 10, 2015 tied for the second latest thaw of Houghton’s Pond
since 1886 and the latest thaw on record for Ponkapoag, beating the
old record of April 10, 1926, by one day. Note the records below:
