HEAT STREAK ENDS OVERNIGHT, TEMPS DIP TO SEASONAL
TEMPERATURES UNDER CLEAR SKIES
Yesterday’s heat and humidity peaked to a maximum
temperature in the afternoon at 87F under clearing skies.
Clouds moved in during the evening, with light showers beginning
after 7:00 PM EST and ending before midnight. Only a trace
of new rain was recorded.
Overnight skies cleared and temperatures dipped to a low
reading of 64F. Clear skies this morning with dry conditions
have allowed for visibilities today of 80 miles in all
directions. By the 1:00 PM EST observation visibility
had dropped somewhat, to a still quite clear 70 miles.
A maximum temperature of 82F had been recorded.
