SUNDAY AVERAGES +17 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL,
DECEMBER NOW AVERAGING +10.1 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL

**Yesterday’s midnight to midnight minimum temperature
of 44F sets a new daily record high minimum temperature,
breaking the previous record of 43F set in 1919 and tied
in 1983.**

The month of December is nearly half way over, and above
normal temperatures have continued to push monthly departures
higher, now averaging 10.1 degrees above normal per day.
Normal daily highs should be in the lower 40s and lows
in the mid 20s; however, only one day this month has even
been below the freezing mark. This morning’s low was recorded
at 44F.

Overcast skies at this morning’s 7:00 AM EST observation quickly
lowered and brought fog and light drizzle. By the 10:00 AM EST
only a trace of drizzle had fallen, which had stopped before
observation time. By the 1:00 PM EST observation fog was still
in place with visibility of 6 miles in all directions.
Temperatures had risen to a maximum so far of 50F.
