SNOW SHOWERS COME TO AN END YESTERDAY AFTERNOON,
ARCTIC AIR VISITS THE SUMMIT OF GREAT BLUE HILL,
OVERNIGHT LOW OF 2F

Snow showers stopped and started continuously yesterday morning,
accounting to just a trace of accumulation. Temperatures crested
at 25F during mid morning, and dropped quickly during the overnight
hours.

By 6:00 AM EST this morning temperatures had bottomed out at 2F,
which is the coldest temperature so far this winter season. By this
morning’s 7:00 AM EST observation, temperatures had warmed slightly
to 4F, with a west wind 12 knots, creating a wind chill of -12F.

By the 1:00 PM EST observation a thin layer of cirrus had overtaken
most of the sky with a few stratocumulus distant offshore. Visibility
had decreased slight from 80 miles this morning to 75 miles. Temperatures
had risen from the single digits this morning to a maximum reading
so far of 22F.
