COLD AND DAMP WEATHER CONTINUES TODAY…
The summit was shrouded in dense fog and drizzle early
this morning, and this continued until rain showers
arrived shortly after the 10 AM EST observation. Steady
light rain began just before 12 PM EST and ended at
2 PM EST. A total of 0.06 inches of precipitation was
measured for the six hours ending at the 1 PM EST
observation. The temperature has remained chilly all
day with a high of 43F and a low of 40F so far for today.
During the steady rain, the dense fog began to lift and
the visibility has increased to several miles by
mid-afternoon.
