DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES, BELOW NORMAL PRECIP CONTINUES….
After a period of sun this morning, clouds have once again
taken over. However these clouds are not bringing any rain
or snow with them, as such our precipitation and snowfall
deficits continue to grow. We are currently running 3.01″
below normal for the year to date for precipitation, and
9.4″ below normal for our seasonal snowfall to date.
A gusty wind has developed early this afternoon out of the
west, gusting to 25-30mph at times.
Visibility was limited to around 35 miles most of the morning
with hazy conditions, however the air has cleared considerably
early this afternoon. Visibility has improved to around 60
miles by 1 P.M.
Despite the abundant cloud cover, the temperature has risen
into the low to mid 40s today. The high so far today is 44F,
9 degrees above the normal high of 35F. The low since midnight
is 27F, 10 degrees above the normal low of 17F.
