WIND THROUGHOUT….
Today there was some light rain in the morning hours, with
0.05 inches falling by the 7 A.M. observation. The
rain continued, leaving an additional 0.02 inches in
the gauge by 1 P.M. Wind was on the increase, with a
gust of almost 40 mph around 2 P.M. Visibility was
limited by a distant fog, only reaching 35 miles during
the late morning hours. Pressure has continued a gradual
downward trend signifying the much needed rainfall. The
observatory is currently 4.79 inches below normal on the
season (based on a running total and average).
Our high temperature so far today is 46F, which is 4 degrees
lower than our daily normal high temperature of 50F. The low
since midnight is 35F, which is 2 degrees above the daily
normal low of 33F.
