WARMER AND HUMID TODAY WITH PLENTY OF SUNSHINE….

After our brief reprieve from the heat yesterday,
today mother nature has turned the thermostat back
up and ratcheted up the humidity levels a bit as well.

After some early morning fog burned off, temperatures
responded quickly to the sun with readings rapidly
rising through the 70s to low 80s by late morning,
and mid 80s by early this afternoon.

A southerly wind which started light has gradually
increased as mixing from aloft occurred. Gusts of
20-25 mph are being measured early this afternoon.

The dew point briefly touched 70 as well late this
morning, before slipping back a bit this afternoon
thanks to some drier air mixing down from aloft.

Visibility has been limited all day, starting
at around 1/2 mile around 5-6 A.M. this morning,
increasing to around 30 miles by early this afternoon
with hazy conditions.

We continue with an abnormally dry pattern. Our monthly
deficit is now 0.63″ below normal. For the year we’re
running at 3.50″ below normal!

The high so far today is 85 degrees, this is 8 degrees
above the daily normal high of 77F. The low since
midnight is 65F, which is 6 degrees above the daily
normal low of 59F.
