DENSE FOG GIVES WAY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES…

Not the best looking Friday! Thick fog settled into
the area yesterday evening thanks to a maritime fog
bank that meandered its way onshore. It remained
solidly in place into this morning. At its worst,
visibility was 1/8 of a mile, even 1/16 at times
before finally eroding around 8:30 AM today into
overcast skies. This cloud deck slowly thinned into
the afternoon allowing for a few splashes of sun to
poke through. Skies are currently broken with a
maximum visibility of only 30 miles.

Winds have been rather light today, only topping out at
11 MPH with an average of just 4 MPH from the east.

The high so far today is 68F, 10 degrees above the daily
normal minimum of 58F. The low since midnight is 52F, 12
degrees above the normal low of 40F. These temperatures
are normal for late-September!
