CONSIDERABLY CLOUDY AND HUMID WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS
DEVELOPING EARLY THIS AFTERNOON…
Total rainfall from yesterday’s showers amounted to
0.63″! A surprise, but definitely welcomed water for
area lawns and flowers.
Today has been a mostly cloudy day with early morning
stratus and fog lifting to reveal more convectively
natured cumulus clouds. Some of these cumulus have
grown into towering cumulus and even cumulonimbus
early this afternoon. As a matter of fact a couple
of them along with their associated rain showers were
passing to the NE through S of the Observatory at the
1 P.M. observation.
A couple of very light rain showers have reached the
hill as well, giving us a trace of rain through 1 P.M.
The humidity level has definitely been elevated today
as confirmed by dew points in the mid 60s.
Winds have once again been on the light side. We have
certainly seen a lot of light wind days of late. The
average speed since 7 A.M. is only around 3mph! The
peak gust so far today came back in the wee hours of
the morning, measuring only 15mph.
The high so far today is 76F, which is 1 degree above
the normal high of 75F. The low since midnight is 63F,
which is 6 degrees above the daily normal low of 57F.
