HEAT AND HUMIDITY ROLL ON…

Not a whole lot has changed since yesterday. We are finding
ourselves yet again very hot and very humid with dew points
hanging in the low to mid 70’s. A Heat Advisory remains in
effect for the majority of central and southern New England.
Today will likely mark a heat wave for many of those locations.
A heat wave by definition is 3 days of a 90F or greater reading.
Here atop the summit, we will likely fall short of achieving
that criteria…will come down to how tomorrow pans out.

Visibility has been poor due to considerable water vapor in the
air. A measly 30 miles is the average for the day. There also
continues to be an air quality alert for the area!

The wind has been mostly on the gentle side, even going calm
for a short period mid-morning. Flow is generally from the
SSW helping to maintain a steady supply of tropical air!

The high so far today is 91F, 10 degrees above the daily normal
maximum of 81F. The low so far today is 73F, which is 10 degrees
above the daily normal minimum of 63F.
