OVERCAST WITH GUSTY SOUTHERLY WINDS…
A very slow moving cold front is meandering eastward across the
northeast bringing a prolonged period of cloudiness, wind, and
humidity. Peak gust so far is 43 MPH out of the SSE. Daily average
wind speed is cranking at 19 MPH! No sunshine observed so far today
and the dew points are juiced up in the low 70s! Due to these
impressive dew points, we are currently tied for the highest minimum
temperature of 68F for this date as of this writing. Forecast models
suggest, however, this value won’t hold as we approach the nighttime
hours, but an indication of how anomalously warm it is.
With regards to precipitation, we noted a few brief passing sprinkles
streaming up from the south. Only 0.01 inch was measured by 1PM.
The high so far today is 74F, 4 degrees above the normal max of
70F. The low since midnight is 68F, a whopping 15 degrees above the
normal low of 53F.
