Where art meets science. Join us in celebrating the continuous connection between creative expression and scientific discovery at America’s oldest continuously operating weather observatory.
Blue Hill Observatory is proud to establish an artist residency program, contributing to the continuous connection and relationship between art and science. The Observatory has long been an inspiration to artists of all kinds and we are grateful to provide local artists space to share their work with the public.
Artists may present their work or installation for approximately 2–3 months and will partner with the Observatory ahead of the installation.
You must be in residence within the Greater Boston area. We encourage artists of all cultural backgrounds and disciplines to apply.
We expect artists-in-residence to be authentically immersed in the work (e.g., hosting special events, volunteering as a tour guide).
Complete the application below. Fields marked with * are required.
