THUNDERSTORMS ROLL THROUGH YESTERDAY AFTERNOON,
SIDE-SKIRTING BLUE HILL
Yesterday’s maximum of 91F represented only the second
day this year with a reading of 90F or above, and tied
July 3rd for the hottest day of the year. Dew point readings
which reached as high as 73F also represented some of the
highest of 2014 as well.
Thunderstorms that developed to our west late Tuesday
afternoon stayed mostly to our north, though thunder
was reported at the station from 1:02 PM EST until ending
at 2:52 PM EST. No precipitation was reported from this event.
