HEAVY RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS MOVE THROUGH THIS MORNING,
BRINGING QUICK DOWNPOUR OF 0.57 INCHES

Heavy rain was falling throughout the region this
morning after overnight showers only dropped 0.01 inches.
From 8:31 until 9:37 AM EST heavy rain, thunder and winds
exceeding 30 MPH swept past the station. Areas south and
east have been issued Flash Flood Warnings.

By the 1:00 PM EST observation 0.61 inches of new rain
had fallen since 7:00 AM EST with showers still present
nearby.
