OVERCAST AND COOLER WITH OFF AND ON LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS….
Today has featured plenty of cloud cover with periods of mainly
very light rain showers occurring off and on since last evening.
Despite the duration, only 0.02″ of rain has been measured. A
good indication that it’s indeed been mainly very light.
Thanks to the overcast skies, temperatures are considerably
cooler today with readings just reaching the mid 70s early this
afternoon. The dew point however remains on the higher side
with values in the mid 60s, so it does still feel muggy out
there today.
The wind has been on the light side once again with an average
speed of around 7mph. The peak gust for the day so far is 17mph,
which occurred just after 2:30am this morning.
Visibility has been limited today of course with the thin fog
and rain shower activity. The view has generally been around
20-30 miles, but has dipped under 10 miles for brief periods
of time in the vicinity of some of the rain showers.
The maximum temperature so far today is 74F, which is 8 degrees
below the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 67F, which is 3 degrees above the normal low of 64F.
