ANOTHER HAZY, HOT, AND HUMID DAY ON TOP OF GREAT
BLUE HILL….

Temperatures today were warmer than yesterday with a
max so far of 88F. This is 7 degrees above the daily
normal of 81F. Although this is high it is not record
breaking. The record for this day of 99F was set back
in 1999. Overnight temperatures were also well above
normal with a low so far of 71F, which is 8 degrees
above the daily normal of 63F. Dew points today in the
low 70’s made for very sticky and humid air. Wind from
the south was moderate today with a peak gust of 27 kts
(31 MPH) by 2:00 P.M.EST. Wind from the south also kept
the haze in area with a max of 35 miles at 10:00 A.M.,
becoming thicker at 1:00 P.M. limiting visibility to
15-25 miles. The clouds increased today as pressure
began to drop. These clouds produced distant lightning
from W-NW at the 1:00 P.M. observation.
