DROP QUICKLY OVERNIGHT
Yesterday’s warm up above the freezing mark did not last
long as the mercury fell from 33F at midnight to 18F at
8:00 AM EST this morning. Yesterday’s rainfall, totaling
0.23 inches, along with a trace of ice pellets that fell
at the beginning of the event, wrapped up by early evening
across much of the region.
This morning’s overnight low of 16F was recorded after
9:00 AM EST, with clearing skies and improving visibility.
Some ocean effect snow has been visible off to our E
over Cape Cod.
By the 1:00 PM EST observation snow showers were still
visible out over the Cape with visibility in all directions
of 70 miles. A maximum of 22F had been recorded from 7:00
AM to 1:00 PM EST, with 33F from midnight this morning
likely remaining as our midnight to midnight high temperature
for today.
