DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2014
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

SEPTEMBER OFF TO A VERY SUMMER-LIKE START
DRY WEATHER CONTINUES AND SO DOES THE
LONG DRY SPELL CONTINUE ON AND ON…..
SINCE AUGUST 13.

The first 3 days of September have averaged
10.5 degrees warmer than normal with at least two
more warm days to go.
Precipitation continues to fall short of normal since
our last inch of rainfall on August 13. Only a little
over quarter inch of rain (0.27 inch) has been measured
since that date, which is about 10 percent of the normal
rainfall over the past 21 days.

August was up at 70% of possible sunshine while the
normal is 58%, and the summer, June, July and August,
was the 4th sunniest on record here.
