WELL ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CONTINUE WITH INCREASING CLOUDS….
A little bit of drizzle greeted us first thing this morning,
but it was brief and only amounted to a trace. Sunshine did
follow for a time this morning before clouds increased from the
west ahead of a system that will bring us some much needed
rain tonight and tomorrow.
The temperature did reach 70F before the clouds took over and
it has essentially settled there since. The low this morning
was a balmy 58F which will likely be a new record high minimum
for the date, which beats the previous record of 57F set in
1948 and 2022. Dew point values are quite high for this time
of year into the low 60s. So it definitely feels kind of muggy
out there today.
Winds have been fairly busy out of the southwest and south-
southwest. The average speed for the day so far is around 15mph.
It’s been gusty all day, but they have really ramped up this
afternoon. They are now frequently exceeding 30mph with the
peak gust so far of 35mph, which occurred around 2:45pm this
afternoon.
Visibility has been limited today, again due to the increased
moisture in the air. The view has generally been between 30-40
miles throughout the day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 70F, which is 16 degrees
above the normal high of 54F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 58F, which is 21 degrees above the normal low of 37F.
