RECORD WARMTH SETS NEW DAILY RECORD WEDNESDAY OF 75F
Temperatures soared yesterday afternoon, reaching a daytime
maximum of 75F, 4 degrees higher than yesterday’s daily record
of 71F set back in 2000. This high reading yesterday also represents
the warmest temperature reading so early in the season.
Clouds rolled in overnight with broken layers of altocumulus and
overcast altostratus by this morning. Overnight temperatures dipped
to an unseasonably warm 58F. Light rain showers were underway
intermittently by mid morning today, with steadier rain falling
this afternoon.
By the 1:00 PM EST observation rain showers had transitioned to
a steady light rain totaling just 0.01 inches by observation
time. Temperatures were holding steady through the observing
day between 62F and 64F.
