HIGH PRESSURE HOLDS ON….

High pressure remains in control for today, keeping us dry
for the time being. Our next storm system is currently located
over the Great Lakes, and is expected to track to our north tonight
into tomorrow morning. Though the rainfall amounts look low, we will take
what we can get! Our annual rainfall deficit as of this morning
sits at -7.83 inches.

Skies today are mostly cloudy, primarily due to mid and upper level
clouds this morning, followed by cumulus going into the afternoon.

As far as temperatures go, we are running slightly warmer than average.
The low this morning was 60F, and we have quickly risen into the low 80s.
The dew point is slowly rising, but has managed to remain in the
‘comfortable’ territory for much of the day, that being the upper 50s.

Winds have mainly been on the light side, with an average speed so far
of only 8mph. The low speeds have made direction quite variable. The
peak gust so far is approximately 19mph, occurring early this morning
in the midnight hour.

Visibility today is excellent, dropping slightly from 70 miles to 60
miles as the day has progressed.

The maximum temperature so far today is 81F degrees, which is 2 degrees
above the normal high of 79F. The minimum temperature since midnight is
60F degrees, which is 1 degree below the normal low of 61F.
