Light snow flurries began this morning at 10:24 A.M. EDT
but the snow was not accumulating as of the 11:00 A.M. EDT
observation.

Seasonal snowfall has now reached 143.4 inches, just
1.0 inch below the snowiest season on record set
in 1995-1996. For more information about this historic

The snow depth has remained at 33 inches as of this
morning based on measurements in the instrument
enclosure and a survey in a nearby clearing to
the north of the Observatory done yesterday. This
is the 34th consecutive day with 20 inches or more
of snow on the ground which ties for second with 2
other years, 1920 and 1978.  The record is 53 days
set back in 1948.
