A DEFINITE AIRMASS CHANGE WITH VERY SIGNIFICANT
WIND….

A low pressure center brought in some very different
weather for a day in early March. Temperatures are
mild and wind is ripping across the summit at an
average of over 20 mph. Frequent gusts of 35 mph
and higher are being seen from the southwest.

It was very foggy this morning, and visibility has
risen to only 25 miles due to a thin layer of fog
in the distance. A light rain shower was observed
after noontime, with only 1/100th inch being left
in the gauge.

The high so far today is a balmy 55F, 14 degrees above
the normal maximum of 41F. The low since midnight is
35F, which is 11 degrees above the normal minimum of 24F.
