SPECTACULAR WEATHER TODAY AFTER FRONTAL PASSAGE YESTERDAY

A cold front moved through the region yesterday, passing by us at the summit
in the late morning hours.  This put an end to the roughly day and a half
long stretch of fog and drizzle with occasional steadier rain, which added
up to 0.39 inches of rain between Friday and Saturday.  Today dawned mostly
sunny, and while a few fair weather clouds have been present all day the Sun
has been out nonstop, making for great weather on this Fathers’ Day.
Temperatures have risen into the mid 70s, and the NW breeze in the wake of
the front has helped dry out the air, providing us with comfortably low
humidity.  That breeze has been fairly steady, gusting over 20mph at times.
The visibility has improved to 65 miles this afternoon.
