RAINY DAY WITH FOG LIMITING VISIBILITY AND AN EXTREME DROP
IN PRESSURE….

Rain started this morning some time between 6 and 7 A.M.
accumulating about 0.34 inches so far. Fog has
obstructed visibility to 1/8th mile at each observation.
Pressure has been falling exceptionally quickly today, with
a drop of 5.7 millibars just between 11 o’clock and 12 o’clock.
Wind during this time increased to over 30 knots, directly
correlating with the rapidly dropping pressure.
We experienced bombogenesis between 1 P.M. yesterday and 1 P.M.
today with a total pressure drop during this period of 28.6
millibars. The high temperature so far is 40F, 1 degree above the
normal maximum temperature for today of 39F. Our low since
midnight was 30F, 9 degrees above our normal minimum of 21F.
Pressure has been falling exceptionally quickly today, with
a drop of 5.7 millibars just between 11 o’clock and 12 o’clock.
