PLENTY OF SUNSHINE, BUT MUCH COOLER WITH A BRISK WIND….
The taste of spring came to an end last night with the
passage of a cold front. Strong cold air advection was
accompanied by strong wind gusts which peaked officially
at 53 mph. However a couple of our instruments did record
59 and 60 mph gusts!
Temperature really dropped markedly overnight with a
reading at midnight of 42 degrees slid to 27 degrees by the
7 A.M. observation.
Visibility has been outstanding again today at 85-90 miles.
Dry conditions continue to be the theme. No measurable
precipitation since back on the 1st of the month. The monthly
total stands at 0.13″, which is 1.93″ below normal. The yearly
total is 8.13″ which is 2.35″ below normal to date.
The high so far today is 44F, which is 1 degree above the
normal high of 43F. The low since midnight is 27F, which
is 1 degree above the daily normal low of 26F.
