SATURDAY, MARCH 11, 2017

COLD, DRY, AND WINDY

Today’s temperatures have been much colder than normal. The minimum so
far for the day was 7F, which occurred a few minutes before the 7:00 A.M.
EST observation. By 1:00 P.M., the temperatures climbed to 18F. There is
a possibility that we could tie the record for the coldest maximum
temperature for this day if the temperature does not continue to warm
above 20F. Dew points have also been very low. At 1:00 P.M., the dew
point was -12F. This gave us a relative humidity of just 26%.

Winds today have been increasing, mostly out of the WNW. The peak gust
