DREARY DAY FEATURING CLOUDY SKIES AND SOME MORNING DRIZZLE….

We began the morning in the clouds, with foggy conditions accompanied by
light drizzle. Though the overcast remains, the cloud base has lifted
some, improving our visibility. Despite this, the cold temperatures along
with the lack of wind and sunshine contribute to the gloomy, dreary feel
outside today.

Given the current conditions, it is probably no surprise that the
temperature has barely changed all day, remaining in the mid 30s.
The dew point has done the same.

Winds have been on the light side, especially since 9am. Our average so
far is only 7mph, primarily out of the north-northeast. The peak gust to
this point is about 20mph, occurring not long after midnight.

Visibility was limited to 1/8 mile at the 7am observation due to the
low cloud deck and fog, but had improved to 30 miles by early afternoon.

The maximum temperature so far today is 35F degrees, this is
1 degree above the normal high of 34F. The minimum temperature
so far since midnight is 33F degrees, this is 16 degrees above
the normal low of 17F.
