CONVECTIVE SHOWERS MOVING THROUGH THE REGION,
ESPECIALLY IN THE AFTERNOON HOURS….

Convective showers have been the flavor of the day,
especially after the 1 P.M. observation. While a
hundredth of an inch was left by a passing shower
before then, that is far from the main feature of
what today’s weather had to offer. Hail was observed
between 4 and 5 P.M. under mostly cloudy skies.

Wind was light for most of the observation period,
but did pick up around noontime to give us a max gust
of almost 40 mph with a passing shower to the northwest.

We have missed most of the heavy rainfall experienced to
the north and west of us.

The high so far today is 58F, which is 5 degrees above the
normal maximum of 53F. The low since midnight is 43F, which
is 8 degrees above the normal minimum of 35F.
