WINDY AND COLD WITH OCCASIONAL FLURRIES TODAY….

A rather potent cold front came through last night bringing
with it a period of heavy rain and gusty winds. Rainfall
from yesterday totaled 0.69″ with a peak gust of 38 mph
when the front came through around 10 P.M.

The passage of the front has left the region in a rather
cold air mass for this time of year in its wake. Today
we’ve seen more clouds than sun with very gusty winds.
Winds have been gusting consistently over 40 mph since
mid-morning with a peak gust of 60 mph occurring at 11:22 A.M.

In addition to the wind and clouds, passing flurries have
been observed throughout the day.

The high so far today is 40F, which is 15 degrees below the
daily normal maximum of 55F. The low since midnight is 32F,
which is 5 degrees below the daily normal minimum of 37F.
