DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
MONDAY, MAY 25, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME
DREARY START TO THE DAY, IMPROVING THIS AFTERNOON…
Once again we had an onshore flow this morning which
brought low clouds, drizzle and fog overnight lasting
through the morning. 0.02″ of drizzle was measured at
7am. Visibility for a time this morning did get as low
as 1/16th of a mile in the densest fog.
As we’ve gotten into the afternoon hours however, clouds
are lifting and visibility has improved to around 15
miles. Also a light and variable wind is veering around
to the south and south-west, bringing with it warmer and
more humid air. The dew point has been gradually increasing
through the day having now reached the low 50s at 1 pm.
With breaks of sun developing, temperatures are responding
reaching 60 degrees at 1 pm.
The high so far today is 60F, this is 9 degrees below
the daily normal high of 69F. The low since midnight is
46F, which is 5 degrees below the daily normal low of
51F.
