FULL FORCE OF ARCTIC AIR MASS ARRIVES IN EARLY HOURS
NNW WINDS GUST TO 37 MPH AT 1:41 A.M. EDT THIS MORNING
TEMPERATURES FALL THROUGH TEENS TO 13F BY 6-7 A.M. EDT
DEW POINTS FALL THROUGH SINGLE NUMBER BELOW ZERO

A strong push of Arctic air arrived during the early
morning hours of today with a gusty NNW wind to 37 MPH,
temperatures falling through the teens and dew points
going from single numbers above zero last evening to
single numbers below zero this morning.

The low of 13F this morning was well above the record low
of 6 above zero set this date in 1906.  The record low
maximum for this date of 22F was established way back
in 1888.

Strong sunshine today has boosted our temperature to the
upper 20’s by early afternoon with a relative humidity
at a low at 27%.
