CLOUDY AND SEASONABLE AS STORM PASSES BY TO THE SOUTH….
Much of the day so far has featured an overcast sky. Originally this
was due to a mid level cloud deck, but by the afternoon was the
result of low-level stratocumulus. Regardless, breaks in the overcast
have revealed occasional patches of blue, and even some sunshine during
the last observation!
Temperatures are seasonable, starting out the morning in the mid 20s and
rising into the upper 30s. The dew point has been inching upwards as
well, starting in the low 20s and reaching the mid 20s by
the afternoon.
Winds began the day on the lighter side, with speeds slightly increasing
after 11am. The average for the day stands at 8mph, with a peak gust
to 21mph occurring late in the 11am hour. Flow remains out of the
east-northeast.
Visibility is decent, holding steady at 50 miles for much of the day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 37F degrees, which is
equal to the normal high of 37F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 25F degrees, which is 5 degrees above the
normal low of 20F.
