COLD AND QUIET WITH INCREASING CLOUDS TODAY….

We started off with clear skies early this morning, but clouds
have quickly overspread the region and are in the process of
thickening as our next weather system approaches.

Temperatures have remained on the cold side with readings only
making it to the low 30s so far here on the summit.

On the bright side, the wind has been quite light, only
averaging 5-10 mph since 7 A.M., so it doesn’t feel as cold as
it could with a stiff wind chill.

Visibility has been limited today to only 40-50 miles thanks
to haziness.

The high so far today is 32F, which is 5 degrees below the normal
max of 37F. The low since midnight is 26F, which is 4 degrees above
the normal low of 22F.
