MILD TEMPERATURES LINGER FOR ONE MORE DAY

Temperatures were again much warmer than normal today
with a max. of 74F by 1:00PM EST after an overnight low
of 60F.  60F would be a new record high minimum temp.,
but it is expected to cool below that this evening.

The hazy conditions which limited visibility for the past
few days cleared out of the region, increasing visibility
to 70 miles during each observation.  Westerly winds
were gusting over 35 MPH this afternoon.

small fire 10 miles SSE of observatory with thin smoke plume
drifting NE
