DAILY DISCUSSION AND CLIMATE SUMMARY
MONDAY, APRIL 13, 2020
ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME

VERY STORMY WITH RAIN AND HIGH WINDS….

Of course the big story today is the wind. We’ve been
seeing frequent gusts over 50 mph since about mid morning,
and now frequently over 60 mph since just after noon.
A peak gust of 79 mph has been measured so far today.
It should be noted that this breaks the preivous peak
gust record for the day, which was 59 mph SSW in 1995.

Rainfall has been fairly steady through the day with 0.14″
being measured at 7 AM, and an additional 0.44″ through
1 P.M. for a storm total of 0.58″ at that time.

Our high temperature so far today is 58F, which is 3
degrees above our daily normal high temperature of 55F.
The low since midnight is 50F, which is 13 degrees above
the daily normal low of 37F.
