Tropical Cyclones in New England and Their Impact at the Blue Hill Observatory

Since 1851, more than 250 tropical cyclones have passed through the vicinity of New England, and more than 200 of these have brought measurable weather impacts at the Blue Hill Observatory since 1885. The link below is the complete list presented in Excel spreadsheet format with details such as tropical cyclone names, peak intensity, date and strength during closest approach to Blue Hill, track location, observed weather impacts at the Observatory, and selected National Hurricane Center storm track maps. This database also includes a partial listing of additional significant tropical cyclones that affected New England from 1635 to 1850.
