The final 3-day total from this week’s 2 rainmakers
checks in at 1.15″. Despite the healthy drink, we are
still running a deficit on the month (-0.16″) and on
the year (-5.18″), but we’ll take it!
On the heels of yesterday’s afternoon downpours, a mute
cold front swept through late afternoon flipping the winds
from the WSW to NW. This invited a much more comfortable
air mass with dew points dropping from the upper-60s to
mid-50s. Clouds cleared out as well launching us into a
top 10 weather day today!
We are enjoying mostly sunny skies, winds averaging 12 MPH
(albeit some gusts in the mid to upper 20s), temperatures in
the mid-70s, pleasant dew points, and visibility around 75
miles. Even though the region saw 1-2+ inches of rain this
week, pollen counts remain high thus knocking the visibility
back a bit from what would potentially be well over 75 miles.
That said, the pollen will largely ease in the week or so
ahead.
The high so far today is 74F, which is equal to the
normal maximum of 74F. The low since midnight is 55F,
which is 1 degree below the normal minimum of 56F.
