The sky conditions on the hill have been beautiful today, with
scattered cirrus clouds this morning and decreasing clouds as
the day progressed. There has been plenty of sunshine and blue
sky to go around, and it has been a fantastic day for winter
activities or a hike.
Temperatures have continued to cool over the past couple of
days, but we have remained in the seasonable area thankfully.
Temperatures this morning dipped to 16F but have improved to
the mid 30’s by the early afternoon hours. Dew points remain
in the lower teens and has been evident with the colder wind
chills compared to the last couple of days.
Winds started on the gusty side this morning, but have started
to decrease since the mid morning hours. Winds were observed
out of the north-northwest early in the day and have shifted to
the west-northwest by the early afternoon. flow The average for
the day so far is around 11mph, though it is starting to trend
lower. The peak gust for today so far is 24mph, which occurred
just after midnight at 12:02am this morning.
Visibility has been decent today with a view of around 60-70
miles all day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 36F degrees, which is
1 degree below the normal high of 37F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 16F degrees, which is 3 degrees below the
normal low of 19F.
