Senator Brian Joyce has filed an amendment to the Senate budget that will provide a $100,000 earmark for “the operations of Blue Hill Observatory and Science Center”. If passed, this will be an important step toward ensuring that Observatory educational programs and historic unbroken climate record will be continued. We are asking all of our supporters to call or email their local State Senator and ask him/her to support the funding in item 2810-0100, amendment #939. The full Senate vote on this amendment will be taken as early as Wednesday, May 25th so your immediate help would be greatly appreciated.
