A PICTURE PERFECT DAY ON THE HILL WITH SEASONAL TEMPS
AND EASTERLY WINDS…
Daybreak started with scattered mid level clouds and hazy
conditions. There was some brief clearing by mid morning
before fair weather cumulus began to increase. Overall though
it’s been a great day with dry air and brilliant sunshine.
This morning, temperatures dipped down to 61F and just after
sunrise there was a bit of crispness to the air. It was a quite
refreshing feeling, considering the sticky conditions we have
had during the past week. With all day sunshine, temperatures
steadily rose to seasonable ranges again, with our high so far
at 81F. Dew points were highest during the early morning, in the
low 60’s and have improved to the low 50’s by the afternoon.
Winds were out of the west-southwest during the overnight hours
and then shifted to the north-northeast during the daylight time.
By the afternoon we have had more onshore flow, with winds out of
the east and east-northeast. Winds are once again on the light
side today, with an average speed for the day so far around 9mph.
The peak gust so far for the day is 18mph, which occurred at 8:51am
this morning.
Visibility has slightly improved as the day has progressed. We had
around 40 miles and then improved to around 50 miles by mid morning
which held steady through the early afternoon.
The maximum temperature so far today is 81F, which is 1 degree
below the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 61F, which is 3 degrees below the normal low of 64F.
