SKY BEGINS TO CLEAR AFTER LIGHT MORNING RAIN….
Light rain began this morning around 5:30 AM and continued on and off
throughout the morning. By 1:00 PM we measured a total of 0.06 inches.
This was not enough precipitation to make a dent in our current drought
conditions. Currently, we stand 7.92 inches below our normal annual
rainfall.
With the rain, we saw foggy, humid conditions throughout the morning.
The fog was dense at 7:00 AM, leaving only 1/8 of a mile of visibility.
Visibility increased to 40 miles around the 10:00 AM observation time.
Conditions began to dry out, making for a less humid and mild afternoon.
The sky remained overcast throughout the observation period. After the
final 1:00 PM observation, the clouds began to break and sunshine
returned.
Morning temperatures were below seasonable and consistent around 64°F.
Once the sun returned, the temperature to 75F still below but closer to
seasonable temperatures.
This week wind speed has continued to be on the lower end with a couple
of calm hours. Today has continued on trend with light wind. Wind was
strongest mid morning during this time a peak gust so far of
approximately 17 kts (20 MPH) was recorded.
The maximum temperature so far today is 70°F, which is 9 degrees below
