ALL TIMES ARE IN EASTERN STANDARD TIME (EST)
SUNRISE: 0713E
SUNSET: 1622E
SUNSHINE WITH SOME INCREASING HIGH CLOUDS, STILL COLD BUT MUCH
LESS WINDY….
The sky has been filled with mainly high cirrus clouds today,
as such, we’ve managed to get a decent amount of filtered
sunshine. All in all it’s not a bad day for this last day of
2025 thanks to much less wind and temperatures not quite as cold
as yesterday.
Temperatures started the day in the low 20s and have recovered
to the low 30s by early this afternoon. While still below normal,
it feels a lot better than it did yesterday. Dew point values have
been holding in the lower teens, indicative of a very dry air mass
still in place.
The wind, while still a bit active, is not nearly as intense as it
was yesterday. A generally southwesterly wind has been averaging
at around 14mph for the day so far. The strongest wind of the day
occurred during the wee hours of the morning. A peak gust of
37mph occurred right around 1:20am this morning.
Visibility has been decent today, generally improving from
around 50 miles early this morning to around 70 miles by early
this afternoon.
The maximum temperature so far today is 32F degrees, which is
4 degrees below the normal high of 36F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 21F degrees, which is equal to the normal low
of 21F.
