A FEW FESTIVE FLAKES WITH OVERCAST SKIES AND LIGHT WIND TODAY….

This morning we had a little peak of clear sky as the sun
began to rise, but the increasing clouds prevented us from
seeing any sunshine unfortunately. During the midmorning
hours we had some snowflakes on the summit, amounting to
only a trace of precipitation. The snow arrived around 10am
and had moved out before noon time.

Temperatures have been a little warmer today, though we are
still a little below normal. Temperatures dipped to 26F
during the overnight and have recovered to 35F. Dew points
started around 20F and have increased to 31F.

The wind has been much quieter today with winds mostly out
of the south-southwest. The average speed for the day so far
is around 8mph. The peak gust is approximately 16mph, occurring
at 8:25am this morning.

Visibility has been impacted by the snow and rain in the area,
and as such we have been around 35 miles for much of the day.

The maximum temperature so far today is 35F degrees, which is
3 degrees below the normal high of 38F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 26F degrees, which is 3 degrees above the
normal low of 23F.
