OVERCAST AND BREEZY DAY ON TOP OF BLUE HILL WITH MILD TEMPERATURES….
Clouds, mainly of the mid level variety, have dominated the
sky today. While there has been no precipitation falling yet,
it is still a rather dim day with a slight dampness to the air.
Despite temperatures on the mild side, the combination of lack
of sun, dampness, and gusty breeze, it’s making it feel a bit
chilly out there today.
As mentioned, temperatures are on the mild side again today.
Readings have reached the upper 40s by early this afternoon.
Dew point values have been gradually creeping up from the low
30s early this morning to around 40F by early this afternoon.
The wind has been fairly steady out of the southwest and south-
southwest. The average speed for the day so far is around 14mph.
Gusts have been occasionally exceeding 20mph since early this
morning. The peak gust for the day so far is 30mph, which
occurred just before 10am this morning.
Visibility is quite decent today despite the cloud cover. We had
about 50 miles of visibility early this morning, but it improved
to around 70 miles by mid to late morning, where it remains into
early this afternoon.
The maximum temperature so far today is 48F degrees, which is
1 degree above the normal high of 47F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 35F degrees, which is 4 degrees above the
normal low of 31F.
