CLOUDS AND FOG EARLY THIS MORNING MELT AWAY TO PLENTY OF SUNSHINE….
We started the day with some low clouds and fog, which quickly
moved out to reveal some mid level clouds which stuck around
through mid morning. By late this morning and early this afternoon
most of the clouds had dissipated leaving us with plenty of
sun. Some diurnal cumulus clouds have popped now thanks to the
surface heating.
Temperatures are still quite pleasant for this time of year with
reading reaching the mid to upper 70s by early this afternoon.
This is just about where we should be for early September. The
dew point continues to run in the comfortable range with values
slipping a bit from the upper 50s to mid 50s.
The wind has been on the light side again today, only averaging
around 7mph for the day so far. What wind there is has been
generally out of an easterly direction. The peak gust for the day
so far is only 17mph, which occurred just after 12pm.
Visibility is still decent today, generally holding at around
60 miles for the day.
The maximum temperature so far today is 77F degrees, which is
equal to the normal high of 77F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 58 degrees, which is 2 degrees below the normal low
of 60F.
