DENSE FOG CONTINUES WITH “WARMING” TEMPERATURES….
We continue to be stuck in the clouds here on the summit with the
visibility being no more than 1/8th of a mile so far today. Light
rain yesterday into the overnight totaled 0.22″ in the gauge,
with another 0.01″ of light rain falling between 10am and 1pm.
Temperatures have been slowly warming as a warm front pushes
through the area. Readings climbed through the 40s reaching the
low 50s by early this afternoon.
Winds were fairly light through the morning, but have been picking
up some as we push into early afternoon. Flow is out of the south-
southwest, with an average speed of around 8mph. The peak gust for
the day so far occurred around 12:42pm, with a value of 22mph.
The maximum temperature for today is 51F degrees, which is 14 degrees
above the normal high of 37F. The minimum temperature since midnight
is 44F degrees, which is 23 degrees above the normal low of 21F.
