CLOUDS INCREASE WITH SHOWERS MOVING IN EARLY THIS AFTERNOON….
We started the day with partial sunshine which lasted through
most of the morning hours. However clouds overtook the sky by
early this afternoon with showers following soon behind.
Temperatures did reach the mid 80s before the clouds and rain
moved in, making for yet another warm and humid day.
The dew point started the day lower than the past few days with
readings in the upper 60s, however it has risen back into the
mid 70s early this afternoon as the showers moved in.
The wind is less busy than yesterday with an average speed for
the day so far of around 10mph. It has been gusty at times
with values of 20-25mph occurring occasionally. The peak gust
so far is 25mph, which occurred just before 11:30am.
Visibility got as high as 50 miles this morning, but has since
decreased with the rain showers in the area. The view early
this afternoon has dropped below 6 miles at times.
The maximum temperature so far today is 85F, which is 3 degrees
above the normal high of 82F. The minimum temperature since
midnight is 69F, which is 5 degrees above the normal low of 64F.
