CLOUDS MOVE OUT, BUT SMOKE MOVES IN FILTERING THE SUN AND REDUCING
VISIBILITY…
The sky has been clear today, but it’s hard to discern such a thing
as wildfire smoke has infiltrated the region today. Visibility
has been limited to only around 10 miles thanks to the haziness
associated with the smoke. The smoke has also been thick enough to
significantly filter the sun.
Temperatures are being held back a bit from their potential today
due to the filtered sunshine. Readings have only risen into the
upper 60s so far.
The wind has been steadily decreasing out of a northerly direction.
The average speed for the day is around 10mph. The peak gust so far
has been around 20 mph, which occurred just before 11am this morning.
As mentioned, the visibility is greatly reduced today due to the
smoke. The view has only been around 10 miles all day.
The maximum temperature so far today has been 68F, which is
1 degree above the normal high of 67F. The minimum temperature
since midnight is 50F, which is equal to the normal low of 50F.
